Android 7.1.2 Nougat rolled out for Pixel and Nexus devices

GoogleAndroid7.1.2 Nougat update is now out of beta and has started rolling out for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, 5X, and Nexus Player. Images and OTA files of the update are already available on company’s developer site. Google will also patch April security update along with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. “Android 7.1.2 is an incremental maintenance release focused on refinements, so it includes a number of bugfixes and optimizations, along with a small number of enhancements for carriers and users,” Dave Burke, VP of Engineering at Google in a blog post.

Apple in April 2017 confirmed that a new redesigned Mac Pro will be released in 2018 or 2019 to replace the 2nd generation Mac Pro The Mac Pro line is a series of Intel Xeon–based workstation and server computers manufactured by Apple Inc. The Mac Pro, in most configurations and in terms of speed and performance, is the most powerful computer that Apple offers. It is the high-end model of the three desktop computers in the current Mac lineup, the other two being the iMac and Mac Mini.

Snap debuts a search tool as first major product since IPO

By:Bloomberg Snap Inc., the maker of mobile messaging service Snapchat, unveiled a way for users to submit video and photos to stories that can be searched and seen by a wider audience. Snap had been hand-curating publicly submitted stories into video reels about ongoing events, like the Super Bowl or the Women’s March. Now the company is also using information in posts, like text and visual elements, to automatically display relevant ones in a search.

April Fool’s Day comet to pass closest to Earth

On April 1, 2017, comet 41P will pass closer than it normally does to Earth, giving observers with binoculars or a telescope a special viewing opportunity. Comet hunters in the Northern Hemisphere should look for it near the constellations Draco and Ursa Major, which the Big Dipper is part of. Whether a comet will put on a good show for observers is notoriously difficult to predict, but 41P has a history of outbursts, and put on quite a display in 1973.

SpaceX wants to try recycling more of Falcon 9 rocket

SpaceX CEO and founder Elon Musk said he wants to go further in the reuse of his rockets after successfully launching the first stage of a Falcon 9 rocket that was recycled from a previous flight. Musk tweeted on Friday that he is looking into a test to bring home the second stage of the company’s new Falcon 9 Heavy rocket for reuse when the rocket debuts late in the summer.

It is scheduled to be released worldwide on September 8, 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for the first time in the series, for personal computers running Microsoft Windows. Apple iOS 10.3 was released on March 27, 2017. iOS 10.3 targets all iOS 10 compatible devices: the iPhone 5 or later, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini 2 or later, iPad Pro range and the 6th generation iPod touch or later. The update introduced a “Find My AirPods” feature for lost AirPods headphones, changed the file system to Apple File System (APFS) for improved performance and encryption, support for additional Siri actions, including status of bills in payment apps and scheduling with ride-booking apps, a new Apple ID view in Settings, the ability for developers to respond to reviews in the App Store as well as “Helpful” and “Not Helpful” review labels, improved overview of iCloud storage usage, and bug fixes and stability improvements.
